ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Our multinational partner has a leading position in its own specific segment of FMCG retail. Currently we are looking for a talented specialist to the following position: Oracle Database Administrator who will provide design, implementation, configuration, database administration and technical support services for databases and/or technical applications.

Feladatok:

• Technical implementation, configuration, documentation and administration of databases and technical applications to ensure availability and resilience;
• Providing support for Global applications as agreed with the relevant teams;
• Some co-ordination of the technical elements of projects – this includes ensuring integration with developers, vendors, off-shore resources and business users;
• Following up on support tickets with vendors – impact of failure could be unavailability or sub-optimal usage of critical IT systems;
• Adherence to service management processes for change, incident management and problem management;
• Participate in the technical elements of business/IT projects involving the supported technologies (upgrades, new installations and configurations etc.) under the guidance of a technical project co-ordinator or project manager;
• Liaison with colleagues in global teams and external vendors, off-shore resources, other IT groups, business users, managers to co-ordinate technical tasks, exchange technical experience and ensure that standards/procedures are common and documented;
• Also needs to keep skills current in the supported technologies.

Elvárások:

• At least 3 years’ experience in supporting Oracle databases in a complex mission-critical environment;
• High-level technical skills in Oracle Database Administration (e.g. performance tuning);
• Very good verbal and written English skills;
• Ability to work in an international environment.

Előnyt jelent:

• Experience with one or more of the followings would be especially appreciated: DB2 databases, AIX operation system, IBM Websphere Application Server, IBM MQSeries, Windows Server operating system and tools; Citrix; VMWare; Backup infrastructure and tools (e.g. Legato, Tivoli); scheduling tools (e.g. Tivoli, CA Autosys)
