DATABASE AND APPLICATION ADMINISTRATOR

Our multinational partner has a leading position in its own specific segment of FMCG retail. Currently we are looking for a talented specialist to the following position:

Feladatok:

• Technical implementation, configuration, documentation and administration of databases and technical applications to ensure availability and resilience (applications/databases to include Oracle, SQL Server, Websphere Application Server, AIX O/S administration, MQ Series, printing technologies and business applications to include Global Internet, E1, Supply chain, Order Management, HR/Payroll but not restricted to these)
• Providing support for Global applications as agreed with the relevant teams
• Some co-ordination of the technical elements of projects – this includes ensuring integration with developers, vendors, off-shore resources and business users
• Following up on support tickets with vendors – impact of failure could be unavailability or sub-optimal usage of critical IT systems
• Adherence to service management processes for change, incident management and problem management
• Participate in the technical elements of business/IT projects involving the supported technologies (upgrades, new installations and configurations etc.) under the guidance of a technical project co-ordinator or project manager
• Liaison with colleagues in global teams and external vendors, off-shore resources, other IT groups, business users, managers to co-ordinate technical tasks, exchange technical experience and ensure that standards/procedures are common and documented
• Also needs to keep skills current in the supported technologies

Elvárások:

• 2-3 years’ experience in supporting one or more of the relevant technologies (Oracle, Websphere, AIX, MQSeries) in a complex mission-critical environment
• High-level technical skills in one or more of the following:Oracle Database Administration, AIX operation system administration, IBM Websphere Application Server administration, IBM MQSeries administration, Good verbal and written English skills, Ability to work in international environment

Előnyt jelent:

• Experience with one or more of the followings would be especially appreciated: Windows Server operating system and tools; Citrix; VMWare; Backup infrastructure and tools (e.g. Legato, Tivoli); Scheduling tools (e.g. Tivoli, CA Autosys)
